Memories
This page is dedicated to all my
Siamese Babies who have passed on The Rainbow Bridge There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. Those who are old are young again. They play all day with each other and are very happy and content. But, there is one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up. The nose twitches. The ears are up. The eyes are staring. And then this one suddenly breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted , and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. Your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into their trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
My first two Siamese were Trigger – Seal point spayed female, and Trushka – a Seal Point neutered male, both bred by my nanna. Trigger and Trushka were both very healthy cats with wonderful personalities and very vocal! As Trushka got old he became blind and slept with me as a child and was my little baby. He died in his sleep peacefully. Trigger died from we think was a heart attack due to old age, we were on a family holiday and came home to find she had gone. They both lived to around 14 years old and are still greatly missed.
Our next two Siamese were not “pure” Siamese as my Nanna had stopped breeding we found another breeder. Minnie Mariah was our chocolate point spayed female and litter brother Mons Seal neutered male. Both lovely affectionate cats, but had very poor health. They both had respiratory problems, kidney crystals, Flu, FIV and Leukaemia. They were so ill we had them put to sleep as their health deteriorated (their kidneys had shut down). This was devastating to the whole family.

Our next two beautiful seal point Siamese were Chantrece Louis and Chantrece Saffron, both Seal points. Unfortunately Saffron escaped and was instantly hit by a car aged 13 months. She was a beautiful girl with a life ahead of her. This has taught us to be more careful with cats and doors.
